Begin your training for a well mannered puppy & avoid behaviour problems before they develop! You can start classes ASAP – no need to wait for “the next round”.
Your instructor has been involved with pup classes since 2008. Calm behaviour and learning are our focus for classes, along with building resilience through play and exploration.
Classes allow you to practice and get feedback on foundation training, and for pups to meet new pups and people. Doing this in a supervised space ensures pups get the opportunities they need to practice "being brave".
Your Program includes eight 50 minute classes on Saturday mornings. There are eight foundation topics for you to work through.
Your Puppy Program includes:
Our venue is a spacious indoor centre. The floors are professionally cleaned to keep pups safe from pathogens. Being indoors also means your pup class can run uninterrupted if there's bad weather.
Each week, you will learn two training topics. You will revisit these topics again in a later class to consolidate your pup's learning and add more skills. You can also watch the videos.
Class begins with settle and focus. Later in life, we want pups to be able to remain calm and attentive to you when there are other dogs and people nearby. Each class begins with settle in time, followed by training time.
Pups play and explore under supervision after training. I match pups according to who is likely to play well with whom, and gently interrupt if needed. Because pups start on any week, your pup gets to meet more new pups and people.
Class size is limited so that everyone has the opportunity of some personalised instruction, and pups aren't too overwhelmed.
If you have a puppy who has NOT completed their final vaccination, this program is designed for you! BUT if your pup is older (and fully vaccinated), and needs the support of a puppy school environment, they can join at up to 18 weeks of age - pending assessment. Call me on 0403 164 748 to discuss.
Phone us if you think you may have an under-socialised older pup. Early support and intervention are keys to improving future prospects!
The Puppy Program is for you, if you can: attend all weekly classes (or spend extra time if you miss one); you can use email and watch online video. You will need to practice with your pup at least 15 minutes per day.
Once you have booked, you will be asked to provide your pup’s details. We’ll contact you to confirm the details of your first class. Pup classes are 50 minutes each, on Saturday mornings in Belmont, Western Australia. Phone on 0403 164 748 to book your place!
